Minds to Launch Crypto Token

The Minds Beta Community has steadily grown and reached nearly one million registered users, and we broke the record for the fastest company in US history to raise $1 million through equity crowdfunding from over 1,500 investors across the globe. We also made major upgrades to the Minds open source platform with Wire, Boost, World Languages, Monetization, Affiliate, Search, Blogs and Groups.
At the same time the issues plaguing mainstream social media have only gotten worse. Between YouTube’s ‘adpocalypse’ and demonetization, Twitter’s censorship purge and Facebook’s reach hitting all-time lows, there has been no shortage of nightmares-come-true from the big tech giants.
Nevertheless, all of this madness only reinforces why free speech, transparency, privacy and Internet freedom continue to gain momentum. The world is awakening to the need for an open source social network built for the people and by the people.
So what’s next?
Coming very soon in the first quarter of 2018, we will extend our monetization system with crypto. The Minds Token will run on the distributed blockchain and will be immediately usable throughout the platform with Wire, Boost and our user reward system.
